Our first project this year is called the 'Hero vs. Villain' Project. We take a picture of our own personal villain and our own personal hero and we make a piece of art out of them. Keep in mind that these heros and villains cannot be cartoons or drawings. So we take our pictures and we trace them and we use stippling, hatching, etc. to make them come to life on a 4 x 6 piece of high quality paper. Our first draft was made using regular printer paper and Sharpies. Our next draft required better pens and paper and I ended up with my originals (below):
